D.Y. PULSE 2018
This pulsating and electrifying annual cultural and technical fest D. Y. Pulse was diligently organized. There was a soul to it. A soul that was vibrant, contagious and exuberant. The much awaited cultural festival recently proved to be an unforgettable occasion for all the enthusiastic students.
The annual fest, was inaugurated by Mrs. Shivani Vijay Patil , the first lady of The D.Y. Patil group followed by the lighting of the lamp and ribbon cutting .She stated that D. Y. Pulse has given the experience of a lifetime where highly energetic students toil to win the appreciation for their talents, overwhelming support of the colleges have made the event truly distinguished.
The tone of decorations , doing justice to the theme of the year’ Mumbai Meri Jaan ‘was very festive as you entered. Dr. Vijay D. Patil, the President of D. Y. Patil Group asserted that he would like this cultural exchange to become a regular feature at the D. Y. Patil campus & is looking forward to organize events on a large platform.
The festival witnessed more than 20 colleges like Saint Andrews, SIES, Kirti college, B. K. Birla college, Bedekar college, Sanjivani college, Pillai college, MNR college, D. Y. Patil School of Management, Law, Hospitality and Medicine…etc around 600 enthusiastic participants taken part in the myriad of events like solo dance, group dance, solo singing, personality contest, folk dance, beat boxing, rapping, music band etc showcasing their competitive spirit. A multitude of events were organized on 24th & 25thoctober and participants won the hearts of the audience with their magnificent performances.
Avid gamers were given a chance to prove their mettle with the gaming events like computer games, art and craft. Best angle of selfie, campus candid photo and face painting, rangoli, collage making, caricature added glamour to the fiesta. To top it all was an array of mouth-watering eateries beckoning the crowd. Food stalls needs special mention as it was entirely managed by students.
The two days festival culminated successfully on 26th october, 2018 at the H.M.C.T. Auditorium , Nerul with the valedictory function which was presided over by the celebrity judge Amardeep Singh Natt ,celebrity fitness trainer Mrs. Nileema Devnani , a recognized and dignified professor in the ITM college Kharghar Prof. Arjun Naik, Mrs. Sarah Kuruvilla the Principal of D.P.V.N. & Jr. college.
Mrs. Sarah Kuruvilla, the principal, D.P.V.N. & Jr. collge declared that D.Y. Pulse is the biggest intercollegiate fest in the city of Navi Mumbai that defines the true spirit of college life is an event where students take a brief time off their busy schedule and strive hard to acclaim proficiency in the field of performing arts, was the sole purpose of D.Y. Pulse which was successfully achieved by the students .She also appreciated the commendable effort and meticulous planning of the faculty members of D.P.V.N. & Jr. college.
It will definitely be a standout memory in the hearts of all who were a part of the grand festival
