Shalyatantra Department of D Y Patil University School Of Ayurveda organized a One Day National Symposium for Ayurved Shalyatantra Teachers on 18TH OF MARCH 2017.
“SHALYATANTRA TEACHERS CONCLAVE- 2017”
The event was limited to 30 delegates only. More than 50 teachers registered for the conclave prior to the event, out of which 30 Shalyatantra teachers from all over Maharashtra were short listed to attend this event. The event was primarily aimed to have brainstorming sessions on Reforms in Curriculum and formulate SOP’s for Various Surgical Conditions. The Eminent dignitaries from the field of Ayurvedic Surgery were felicitated. It was also arranged as a part of faculty development programme.
The Inaugural function was presided by our beloved President and chancellor Hon Dr Vijay D. Patil Sir, who shared his thoughts about the glory of Ayurveda and its treatment aspects. Our Vice Chancellor Dr Shirish Patil Sir also congratulated Shalyatantra Department for this one of its kind initiative. Other eminent dignitaries present at the Inaugural Function were CCIM member Dr Ashanand Sawant, Former Director General Dr G.S.Lavekar Sir, Dean Dr Mahesh Kumar Harit and Vice Dean Dr Amar Dwivedi.
The Event Started with Declaration of Dhanvantari Puraskar 2017 “Lifetime Achievement Award” to Dr G.S.Lavekar Sir who received the award from Hon Dr Vijay D. Patil Sir.
The award for “Best Ayurved Surgeon” was given to Dr Rajesh Gupta Sir and the award for “Young Research scientist” was given to Dr Govind Reddy.
There was a series of guest lectures and subsequent panel discussion. Visit to our excellent medical simulation lab was a part of the event which was thoroughly appreciated by all the delegates and dignitaries. The event was accompanied with delicious breakfast, followed by sumptuous lunch and ended with High tea and snacks.
