School of Ayurveda, DY Patil Deemed to be University, Nerul, Navi Mumbai, had organized15 days Transitional Curriculum of ASU for 1st Year B. A. M. S. students admitted in the year 2020-21 from 8th March 2021 to 26th March 2021.
DAY 05- 15th March 2021 Monday Co-ordinator –Dr. Yogita Mandle Session 1
Lecture 1: Clinical Exposure –By Dr. Jayant Hartalkar Time: 09.00 a. m. to 10.00 a. m.
The first session was conducted by Dr. Jayant Hartalkar, Associate Professor, Department of Sharir Rachana, School of Ayurveda, DY Patil Deemed to be University, Nerul, Navi Mumbai.
In this session, Sir emphasized the need for Early clinical Exposure: New paradigm in medical education. Sir also explained about five Alternative Cited By which medical applicants Have Gained clinical exposure And Demonstrated the Necessary Skills. Ayurvedic principles of Rogi Parikshan were also discussed in the session.
Lecture 2: Topic: Language Vadatu Sanskritam – By Chand Kiran Sahuja sir. Time: 10. 00 a. m. to 11.00am
The session was conducted by Chand Kiran Sahuja sir.
Sir interacted with the Students on “The Language Of Ayurveda” , Sanskrit And Ayurveda, Sir also Explained What is the need of Learning Sanskrit Laguage. Sir As given Very Insightful View on “ Language is a Guide Of “Social Reality” in detail. Sir’s lecture enriched our knowledge by highlighting the core of Sanskrit as a language.
Lecture 3: Topic: Role & impact of Physician in the Society-By Dr Pushpa Singh.
Time: 11. 00 a. m. to 12.00 noon
The session was conducted by Dr. Pushpa Singh.
Madam interacted with the students, resolved their queries regarding Ayurveda practice. Madam explained four-pillar Of Treatments in Detail to the Students Along With suitable Examples. The students have explained their responsibilities towards Society as future Physicians.
Madam also Explained Health Advocates. which includes :
Prevention Of Disease- poster,article,lecture Camps,Plays etc. Importance of health- poster,article,lecture Camps,Plays etc.
Lecture 4: Topic: Basics Of Prakriti Pariksha By Dr. Amit Mujumdar. Time: 12.00 noon to 01.00 p. m.
The fourth session was conducted by Dr. Amit Mujumdar, Associate Professor, Department of Sharir Kriya, School of Ayurveda, DY Patil Deemed to be University, Nerul, Navi Mumbai
In this session Sir As Explained Constitution, its Important in Ayurveda. Also explained Factors Responsible for the constitution.
Session 2: (Post Lunch Session)
Lecture 1: Skills- Basics Life Support& First Aid – by Dr. Anant Patil. Time: 2.00 to 4.00 p. m.
The resource person for the session was Dr.Anant Patil, Sir is From Dept. of Pharmacology, School of Medicine, DY Patil Deemed to be University, Nerul, Navi Mumbai. Sir is Currently with Mayo Clinic USA Certified Simulation Lab as Instructor.
Sir explained the necessity of Basic Life support And How to handled Emergencies at the Basic level. . Sir has given a Detailed introduction to First Aid. Also explained the role Of First Aider then Objectives Of first Aid then, Characteristic of a Good first Aider. Sir also Explained Do’s And Don’t in different Situations ( like Fainting-First Aid, Burn- First Aid, etc Nose Blood- first Aid).
