DAY 7- Transitional Curriculum of ASU for F.Y. B. A. M. S.

School of Ayurveda, DY Patil Deemed to be University, Nerul, Navi Mumbai, has organized TRANSITIONAL CURRICULUM AYURVEDA’, from 8th March 2021 to 26th March 2021.

DAY 07- 17th March 2021 Wednesday

Session 1:

Lecture 1: Language Vadatu Sanskritam Time: 9.00 am to 10.00 a. m.

The first lecture was conducted by Dr. Vinay Pawar, Associate Professor, Department of Sanskrit Samhita Siddhant, School of Ayurveda, DY Patil Deemed to be University, Nerul, Navi Mumbai.

It is always difficult to teach Sanskrit to a new batch however it was made easy with a brief introduction & explaining Karak in a very easy manner.

Lecture 2: Clinical exposure Time: 10. 00 to 11.00 a. m.

This lecture was conducted by Dr.Neena Damle, Assistant Professor, Dept of Kayachikitsa, School of Ayurveda, DY Patil Deemed to be University, Nerul, Navi Mumbai.

She gave brief introduction of all the clinical departments, OPD, instruments, procedures & camps present in our college.

Lecture 3: Vrikshaayurved and Mrigayurveda Time: 11. 00 am to 12.00 noon

This lecture was conducted by Dr. Charushila Giri, Professor, Department of Dravyaguna Vigyan, School of Ayurveda, DY Patil Deemed to be University, Nerul, Navi Mumbai.

This vast subject was covered with key points in brief with some rediscovered recent facts & their usefulness to the curriculum.

Lecture 4: Professional Medical Ethics Time: 12. 00 pm to 1.00 pm

This lecture was conducted by Dr. Vinay Pawar, Associate Professor, Department of Sanskrit Samhita Siddhant, DY Patil Deemed to be University, Nerul, Navi Mumbai.

This session covered all points pertaining to medical ethics in lucid & simple language which a first-year student can understand.

Session 2: (Post Lunch Session) Lecture 1: Computer skills Time: 2.00 to 3.00 p. m.

The resource person for the session was Mrs. Bharati Joshi, Professor, Department of Computer Engineering, RAIT, D.Y.Patil deemed to be University, Navi Mumbai. She taught students regarding how to create a google form.

Session 2: (Post Lunch Session) Lecture 2: Games & Activities Time: 3.00 to 4.00 p. m.

The Games & activities were conducted by Dr. Smita Mekhale & Dr. Snehalata Bagal, Assistant Professors, Department of Rachana Sharir, DY Patil Deemed to be University, Nerul, Navi Mumbai.

With the support of senior students Prajwal Sawant, Dishya Sewda, Shubham Potdar two rounds of games & activities were conducted. Question, answer & memory round were conducted. Students enjoyed them entire.

The session ended with a vote-of-thanks to all faculties bringing us to the end of Day 7 of the Transitional Curriculum.
