DAY 9- Transitional Curriculum of ASU for F.Y. B. A. M. S.

School of Ayurveda, DY Patil Deemed to be University, Nerul, Navi Mumbai, had organized Transitional curriculum Ayurveda for FYBAMS students from 8th March 2021- 26th March 2021.

DAY 09- 19th March 2021, Friday.

Session 1:

Lecture 1: Communicative English

Time: 9.00 to 10.00 a. m.

The first session was conducted by Ms. Mansi Jawale, Assistant Professor, in Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology, DY Patil Deemed to be University, Nerul, Navi Mumbai.

In this lecture, madam has emphasized speaking and writing English. She also has encouraged our students to express their thoughts to improve communication skills by writing or speaking.

Lecture 2: Biodiversity and ASU Time: 10. 00 to 11.00 a. m.

The resource person for the session Dr.Shraddha Nayak madam, Associate Professor in the department of Dravyagun Vigyan, School of Ayurveda, DY Patil Deemed to be University, Nerul, Navi Mumbai.

Madam has highlighted the need for the conservation of ASU drugs. She also emphasized various techniques of conservation. She also explained various policies by Government for the conservation and cultivation of ASU drugs in their natural habitat.

Lecture 3: Language, Vadatu Samskritam. Time: 11.00 am to 12.00 noon

The resource person for this session was Respected Dr. Sunil Kumar Bhargav sir, Expert in Samskrit, (M.A. B.Ed., Ph.D. in Samskrit).

In this lecture, sir has explained Sandhi vishleshan Prakaran in detail. Also, sir has explained various types of sandhi and accordingly given appropriate examples of sandhi and sandhivigrah to students.

Lecture 4: Yoga and Meditation. Time: 12.00 noon to 1.00 pm

The resource person for this session was Dr.Mrudul Chitrakar madam, Associate Professor in the department of Swasthvritta and Yoga, School of Ayurveda, DY Patil Deemed to be University, Nerul, Navi Mumbai. She has enlightened our students on the topic of Yoga and Meditation techniques. She explained Ashtang Yoga and its importance. She also emphasized on the importance of Pranayam to improve our physical and mental health.

Lunch Break Time: 1.00pm to 2.00 p.m.

19-03-2021 (lecture-4 Yog & meditation )

Lecture 5: Lecture from an eminent person in ASU- Introduction of Shalya-Shalakya in Ayurveda.

Time: 2.00 pm to 3.00 pm

The resource person for this session was Dr. Mahesh Dikshit sir, Professor and HOD, M. M. M. Govt Ayu College, Udaipur and President of Rajasthan Ayurveda Ksharsutra Shalya Chikitsa Samiti.

Sir has basically introduced our students to shalya and Chanakya. So Students can understand the importance of shalya chikitsa in Ayurveda. Also, sir has explained the importance of various surgical procedures like ksharsutra in anorectal disorders. Sir has inspired students, by explaining various scopes in shalya tantra in Ayurveda.

Lecture 6: Games and Activities Time: 3.00 pm to 4.00 pm

Games and Activities were conducted by Dr. Anupama Awate and associated with our counsel students. Quiz and group discussion was conducted to improve the intelligence of students. Activities have taken which was related to Ahar Kalpana and herbal medicines.
