Objective-To demonstrate& practice the Yoga protocol released by the Ministry of Ayush to all teaching and non-teaching faculty and Students for preparation of International day of yoga

Dates & Time- 14/6/2021 to 19/6/2021

On the occasion of the 7th international Yoga day, a virtual Yoga Workshop was organized by DY Patil Deemed to be University School of Ayurveda, Department of Swasthavritta & Yoga. The workshop started on 14th June 2021. The virtual program was started & introduced by Dr. Aarti Nangare (Asst. Professor, Swasthavritta and Yoga) and welcomed all dignitaries and participants by Dr. Mangala Wange, HOD, Swasthavritta & Yoga, After that Dr. Maheshkumar Harit, Dean, D. Y. Patil Deemed to be University School of Ayurveda, shared their views addressing all towards the successful celebration of 7th IDY 2021 with the theme “Be with Yoga, be at Home”.

Program followed online video share (Yoga protocol released by Ministry of Ayush.) which has created by D. Y. Patil University school of Ayurveda Dept. of Swasthavritta & Yoga, In which more than 200 participants benefited from the Yoga workshop event. D. Y. Patil Deemed to be University School of Ayurveda conducted the event where students, Teaching & Non Teaching staff had participated enthusiastically.

Finally, the vote of thanks was proposed by the faculty of the department Dr. Anju Hadke (Asso. Prof. Dept. Of Swasthavritta & Yoga).

The workshop was conducted under the Supervision of Dr. Mangala Wange, HOD Swasthavritta & Yoga. All departmental staff of swashavritta & Yoga Dr. Mrudul Chitrakar, Dr. Anju Hadke, Dr. Pratik Patil, Dr. Vishal Kulkarni, and Dr. Aarti Nangare were present along with teaching staff, non-teaching staff and UG & PG students was participants. Our PG students are also a source of inspirational yoga demonstrators by conducting individual yoga sessions involving more than 100 participants per day for continuous 3 days before 21st June IDY 2021 to aware people and know the importance of Yoga especially in this pandemic situation & most importantly being at home.

We had also arranged E-poster with a slogan competition elaborating the theme “Role of Yoga in a pandemic” for all the students under D.Y.Patil University with a satisfactory response.

7th INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA – 21st June 2021

D. Y. Patil Deemed to be University School of Ayurveda Department of Swasthavritta and Yoga successfully celebrated Virtually 7th International Day of Yoga (IYD) i.e. “Be with Yoga be at home” on 21st June 2021in which around 1250 volunteers participated in the mega event. The 21st June 2021, 7th IDY was started & welcomed by Dr. Mrudul Chitrakar ( Asso. Prof. Dept. Of Swasthavritta & Yoga) moving towards welcoming our Yoga demonstrator Mrs. Suma Deodas & Mr. Rajesh Govindan(Art of Living teacher) for the virtual yoga demonstration, they demonstrated the Yoga protocol released by Ministry of Ayush peacefully getting a complete hold on individual’s mind & body with the self-realization.

DY Patil Deemed to be University School of Ayurveda along with its sister institutes of D Y Patil University conducted the event, more than 1250 participants including students, Teaching & Non- teaching staff participated enthusiastically. At the end of the session vote of thanks was proposed by Dr.Mangala Wange (HOD, Dept. Of Swasthavritta & Yoga)

The whole event was successfully celebrated by the blessings of Hon. Dadasaheb Shree D. Y. Patil Sir, Founder Chancellor, DY Patil University, program conducted under the guidance and support of our president and Chancellor, Hon. Dr. Vijay Patil Sir and Respected Mrs. Shivani Patil madam and many thanks to Dr. Shirish Patil, Vice-Chancellor, DY Patil Deemed to be University Outcomes-Every participant enjoyed the session &could take a yogic breath which was more stress-relieving as far as this lockdown situation is taken into consideration. It was a blissful start towards a positive mind to be Healthy, Happy & Safe still being at home. Participants are encouraged to observe their own body, mind, breath, and practices of yoga according to the Yoga protocol released by the Ministry of Ayush. Specialty workshop provides a more relaxed learning atmosphere.
