Overview Of The Program

Bioinformatics is an amalgamation of computer science, statistics, mathematics, chemistry, physics and biotechnology.  Data explosion in biotechnology has opened the floodgate for small and large scale data analysis. This programme will provide an insight into biological data which would help the students in data acquisition, representation, retrieval, visualization and their analysis from genomics and proteomics perspective.

Eligibility

The Candidate must be either 17 years of age or attain the age at the time of admission. Candidate must have passed HSC (10+2) or equivalent examination from a recognized Board, securing minimum 45% marks in the aggregate of all subjects. English as a subject is compulsory.

The Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and OBC students shall have relaxation of 10% in the aggregate marks required for eligibility.
