On April 1, 2019, Dr. Jyoti Oberoi, Lecturer, Department Of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry, School of Dentistry, featured in a newspaper article. The article published in Mid-Day explains about her study on ‘Hypnosis’ to reduce needle phobia during dental treatment. Her study on the same was published in the journal of American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry in 2016. She has been practicing the method hypnosis on her child patients since 2014 to cope with needle phobia and to reduce anxiety, pain and fear in patients.
The following technique is also taking the shape of a book titled “Hypnosis in Dentistry, a Tool Redefined”. This book would be launched on April 4th in Nepal during a conference of South Asian Association of Pediatric Dentistry.
