D.Y.Patil University School of Hospitality & Tourism Studies organised an innovative and experimental workshop on Chocolate making for First year Hospitality and Diploma students on 10th October 2018 in the Bakery lab. The workshop was organised in collaboration with DP chocolates Company. Mr. Kuldeep Singh, Executive Pastry chef of the organisation conducted the workshop for students. Chef Kuldeep demonstrated and explained about varieties of chocolates making like different types of garnish, chocolate desserts and center filled which new trend exploring in Hotel industry. DP Chocolates Company is one of the leading chocolate making companies of the India, manufacture chocolate products for Cadbury India.
The session was attended by 60 students from first year of Hospitality and Diploma in bakery. Students found the session immensely knowledgeable and innovative. This resulted in an interactive and engaging session that was appreciated by one and all. Chef Kuldeep gave chocolates fillings for tasting to the students. Chef Kuldeep laborated on the opportunities in bakery & pastry business and explained to the students the benefits of entering this industry. Akshata Shetty, one of the participants said ‘it was a very knowledgeable and innovative session. I got to learn so many new trends in chocolates. I would love to learn more new creation from Chef kuldeep. And all participants were very happy with the workshop, asking for more workshops like this. Chef Dinesh from the bakery department organised this workshop on behalf of the School of Hospitality and Tourism studies. The session concluded with a vote of thanks and felicitation of guests for carrying out such a fruitful workshop for our students.
