D.Y.Patil University School of Hospitality & Tourism Studies organised an innovative and experimental workshop on Chocolate making for First, second & third year Hospitality & culinary and Diploma students on 29th August 2018 in the Bakery lab. The workshop was organised in collaboration with Unifoods bakery Ingredients Company of Mumbai. Mr. Sameer Gholam, Executive Pastry chef of the organisation conducted the workshop for students. Chef Sameer demonstrated and explained about varieties of chocolates making like different types of garnish and centre filled which new trend exploring in Hotel industry.
Unifoods Ingredients Company is one of the leading food ingredients companies of the Maharashtra and has grown by leaps and bounds in the last decade. It has own compound chocolate manufacturing in India. Hemlata Gawade, one of the participants said ‘it was a very knowledgeable and innovative session. I got to learn so many new trends in chocolates. I would love to learn more new creation from Chef Sameer. Chef Dinesh and Chef Ashish from the bakery department organised this workshop on behalf of the School of Hospitality and Tourism studies. The session concluded with a vote of thanks and felicitation of guests for carrying out such a fruitful workshop for our students.
