DYPU-SHTS at The Trident,BKC !

In efforts to Bridging the gap between the Industry experts and the education system, The Trident BKC organized a conference – ‘’The Bridge’ on 15 January 2019’. The Food & Beverage faculties of D.Y Patil SHTS – Asst. Prof Collin John & Asst. Prof. Ajinkya Pandikar were invited for the same.

‘’The Bridge’’ was a platform to bring together some of the latest ideas in the Food & Beverage industry and share with them the faculties of various hospitality institutions as additional seed material to further evolve the palette of learning opportunities that can be offered to the students.

Eminent  personalities of the industry like Mr. Daniel Menezes -National Account Manager for Zomato, emphasized on the importance of being a salesman in the food & beverage space and playing the role of aggregators in the F&B industry and what millennials could look out for in the future. Chef Prateek Sadhu- Masque spoke about the art of running a successful restaurant in today’s day and all the research & development aspects required in doing so. Ms. Karina Agarwal – Brand Advocate – Monkey 47 (GIN) spoke about the trends in F&B industry and the focus on producing local beverages, which was followed by a Gin tasting session. It was a great exposure for the faculties as such conferences keep them abreast with the latest trends and current changes in the hospitality industry.
