Mr. Diwakar Prasad, a B.sc., DHMCT (IHM, Bhubaneswar), is an alumnus of the 1989 batch from the National Council’s Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, V.S.S. Nagar, Bhubaneswar. He has a vast experience of around 19 years both in Industry as well as Academics including the latest one being in 2008 as Training Manager at a five Star hotel in Navi Mumbai. Currently, he is handling the subjects – Advanced Food and Beverage Service and Management Information System in Hospitality Industry. Since 2009, he has handled the Seminar and Workshop Assignment very successfully and has been pivotal in the conduction of many workshops and seminars so far, including Overseas Training and Employment and others.

Completed his bartending course with stir academy in the year 2001 already working has a bartender, He has over 16 years of experience in the industry with the top night clubs and bars of Mumbai, awarded first runners up at the first bacardi martini grand prix Mumbai level (international cocktail competition held in India for the first time in the year 2006), has a thorough knowledge of wines & spirits which he says has grown in him from the time as a kid when he used to play and work with his relatives in their small fenni distillery in Goa.

Mr.Rohan Shivekar, BHMCT an alumnus from Mahatma Gandhi Vidyamandir’s college of Hotel Management & Catering technology, specialised in Food & Beverage Service,Nashik (Pune University). He has 5 years of experience in the industry including The Oberoi Mumbai, JW Marriott Mumbai & Shangri-la Hotel mumbai. He has pursued a certificate course in Bartending from Cocktails & Dreams Mumbai, and participated in World Class Diageo competition and has also completed the 1st level with distinction of Wine spirits education trust (W.S.E.T) London recognised.

I Akhil Brian Menezes am currently associated with Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Hotel Mangement & Tourism Studies since January 2015. My desire to achieve excellence in ‘Hospitality Services’ propelled me to take up Hotel Management as a challenging career option. Under the guidance of some of the most wonderful faculties in ‘A. K. Hafizka’s Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Mumbai’, I graduated with a 3 year Diploma in H.M.C.T. in 2002. My desire to work with the best in the Hospitality industry saw me join the renowned ‘Taj Group of Hotels’, wherein I had an amazing experience to work with the likes of Chef Ananda Solomon in Taj Preisdent Italian coffee shop named Trattoria, located in the heart of Cuffe Parade, Mumbai.This experience of 3 years in Taj President helped me grab the opportunity to work with Costa Cruise lines in Italy which is Europe’s leading luxury cruiseliner for over 60years.After a span of 10 years in the cruise liner industry I decided to impart some of my profound knowledge to future Hotel Management graduates in the form of a teaching profession which lead me to Navi Mumbai’s premier hospitality institute. I hope that with my knowledge and experience I will be able to motivate the students to become great leaders in the world of hospitality.

He has a stellar experience in National and International hospitality industry for 12 years. With his vast experience of 22 years, he has groomed & moulded excellent Bakery and Patisserie Professionals. He has contributed towards the various special events and visits by the eminent personalities for International sports events, VIP, Celebrities, world bread day

Ms. Shilpa is an alumnus of Padmashree Dr. D. Y. Patil University, School of Hospitality and Tourism and has completed course in culinary arts , B.A and MTM. She is been associated with the institute for past three years and is allied to BTK and ATK as well. She is involved with the cultural committee and girls locker rooms

He recently joint was a Lecturer for first year students and is responsible for taking practical’s and theory lectures. Academically he has a 3 yrs diploma in H.M.C.T from Anjuman –i-Islam’s A.K. Hafiska institute of Hotel Management and a Post Graduate Diploma in International Cuisine from Ealing Hammersmith West London College (U.K). Started his career with Oberoi flight services, Mumbai were he gained knowledge by working in various sections of the flight kitchens, later jointed Princess cruise liner to learn and understand the vast ocean of international cuisine. Couple of years later he moved to the restaurant capital of the world “London”. Where he started working with some of the best chefs in U.K in the The Meat and Wine Co’s flagship restaurant in Sherberds bush, London as opening team to learn the culinary art from the masters in various section like starters, grill and pastry section. Working in London brought him face to face to the “Michelin” star concepts in the restaurant industry, which takes the regular food to the next level of perfection. Guidance of celebrity head chef Balaji Balchander helped him to sharpen his cooking skilled and techniques while working for the restaurant. Later on was transferred to Dubai to be part of opening team of the flagship restaurant in African cuisine “Tribes” in Kempenki hotel, Mall of Emirates. After gaining enough knowledge and expertise in the culinary field he decided to move come back to India and worked as a Sous Chef for few more years for Adventure Residency Resort near Mumbai.

An alumni of D.Y  Patil School of hospitality & tourism studies. Had a passion for cooking for parties at home since childhood & decided to make it her profession. Completed her training at the oberio’s Mumbai and currently teaching at the college quantity kitchen. She is also procuring her master’s degree in tourism management and has a dream of writing a book on Indian bulk cooking recipes with a fusion of the western food as she believes that Indians are the masters of bulk cooking.

Mr.Syed Gous is a faculty with our school since 2008. Prior to this, He was with Capital Market Where he worked on RBI‘s Research Project for quarterly survey of inventory of manufacturing company. Before Capital Market he worked with Premier Neutraceuticals & Litaka Pharmaceuticals where he launched company‘s product in assigned territory.
Dr .Syed Gous holds an MBA in Marketing and Diploma in Import & Export Management from WTC-Mumbai. He published Paper on Entrepreneurship & Retail Management in International conference held in School of Business Management .D.Y. Patil University, Mumbai.

Ms. Pallavi Chaudhari . An alumni of Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology has started her career as a Management Trainee with Accor Group. She has since then grown up in the industry to become a Regional Housekeeper for the French behemoth , Louvre Hotels group .During her career she has achieved many awards and recognitions. With her 15 years of rich experience in the hotel industry she has now taken up the mantle of teaching, Accommodation Operations to the budding minds at D. Y. Patil School of Hospitality & Tourism Studies.

Mr. Kishore Mhaske started his career with the Leela group of Hotels in 1988. Having started his career as a trainee steward, he has steadily worked up the ladder and his last assignment was as a Duty Manager and after 26 years of tremendous industry experience, he made teaching his forte. Food and beverage service has also been his area of interest and has successfully completed extensive Butler training conducted by Mr. Stephen Hurst of Buckingham Palace, London. Equipped with rich experience in Front Office and food and beverage service, he joined the DY Patil University, (School of Hospitality and Tourism Studies) on 28thJuly 2014. He has a passion for guest service and has received many awards and appreciation letters for excellent customer service and unstinted loyalty to his organization.

Mr. Ajit Gavandi begins his career in the year 2009 with the Asias’s first five star Ecotel Hotel, “THE ORCHID” as a supervisor and in a very short span of time was promoted to be the Assistant Manager all credit to his sheer hardwork and dedication. His last assignment was of an Asst. Manager with a leading cruise line. Armed with a MBA in Hospitality and Tourism, he is geared up to enlighten the students with practical as well as theoretical knowledge.
