Flower arrangement is an art of organizing and grouping of different plant materials which includes flowers, leaves and dried branches to achieve a harmony in colour, texture and form to add liveliness, cheer and beauty to the surroundings.


Flower arrangements have been extensively used in the hospitality industry be it a guestroom, to the lobby, or restaurant to as simple as bathroom. Flowers enhance the interiors and create a long lasting impression in the minds of the guests. This enables the hotel to attract loyal customers for a long-lasting endeavor.


The principles of flower arrangement- Scale, proportion, Balance, rhythm, contrast, dominance and unity and harmony were artistically displayed by the second year students of School of Hospitality and Tourism studies under the guidance of Assistant professor Milind Kilpadi.


Students in a group displayed their creativity and imagination by making small and beautiful arrangements in unique containers and presented it to their professors.
