D.Y.Patil University School of Hospitality & Tourism Studies organised a National Seminar on “SHARE OUT” – A CONVERSATION ON BITTER REALITIES OF WORKING WOMEN at the D Y Patil School of Hospitality and Tourism Studies campus on 6th October, 2018. The National Seminar, attended by the people from various fields was very informative and educative. The speakers present at the Seminar were all working women, well known in their fields and proficient in their work. The speakers were Farhana Shah, a well known Advocate in the HighCourt, SmitaJadhav, PI at the Seawoods NRI Police Station, Sumedha Mate, Entrepreneur and Chitra Batham, a political activist.
They discussed at length their experiences as working women and the challenges faced by them. They all shared their life experiences with the audience and also how they handled the situation at work place.The views expressed by them and their experiences were very heart touching and gave the audience ideas on how to handle some of the bitter realities of working women. The session began with Lighting of the Lamp followed by the felicitation of the guests.The audience found the session immensely knowledgeable and kept the speakers on their toes by bombarding them with a plethora of questions. Ms. SmitaJadhavnarrated real life incidents.
This resulted in an interactive and engaging session that was appreciated by one and all. Bhavna Tikku, one of the participants said ‘It was a very informative session. They inspired us how to be bold and not to bow down to unnecessary situations. I got to learn so many new things and the examples which they give were easy to grasp and understand.’The session concluded with a vote of thanks and felicitation of guests for being part of such an important session.
