SHTS conducts a case study on Mc Donalds’operations!

D.Y. Patil University School of Hospitality & Tourism Studies conducted a case study session on Food & Beverage operations adopted by Mc. Donalds on 12 March 2019 in the college premises. The session was attended by third year students who were briefed about the functioning of a fast food chain and what sets it apart from hotels. The case study drew attention of the students towards a sharp decline in sales which the restaurant witnessed in the 1990’s.

The reasons for the decline were explained and the students were asked to come up with feasible solutions for the same. After a lot of brainstorming and suggestions, the strategies adopted by the brand were explained and reviewed in detail. The students enjoyed the session and asserted that it was informative. Assistant Professor Imran Pathan conducted the case study on behalf of the college.
