SHTS conducts Industrial Visit to Paris & Amsterdam!!

A group of 15 students of DYPU SHTS accompanied by 2 faculties visited vibrant & buzzing cities of Paris & Amsterdam from 10 April -16 April 2019. The 07 days tour included visits to numerous Culinary & Hospitality Institutes as well as leading brands of the industry. The students also attended a special session at the world famous, Le Cordon Bleu, Paris. One of the most reputed Culinary Colleges of the world, Le Cordon Bleu welcomed SHTS with a charming smile and open arms. At the institute, Ms. Kijung Hyun & Ms. Sandra Messier interacted with the students and explained the legacy of the institute .

20190414_135535This was followed by an interaction with Indian students studying in their campus and an exploratory tour of the college. The students were taken by surprise when the Head of the Institute, Chef Eric Briffard, came to greet them personally. He spoke to the students at length about French Cuisine and wished them all the very best in their future endeavor. At Luxury Hotel School Paris, the entire group was welcomed by the Vice President, Jean Axel Pasdeloup. This was followed by a brief tour of the institute and a workshop on chocolate making.

During the trip, students visited numerous cafes, restaurants confectionery outlets etc. They explored the realm of local cuisine and revered the French platter. In the picturesque town of Amsterdam,students visited many museums and local sightseeing attractions. They attended a lecture by Chef Karl of Hotel Tulip Inn. He briefed the group on use of organic ingredients in contemporary cooking. The entire team also visited the Dutch town of Zaanse Schans and witnessed some exemplary styles of Cheese and Waffle making.  The students enjoyed themselves thoroughly on the trip. They extended a heartfelt thanks to the management for giving them such a splendid opportunity.
