SHTS explores Vegan Cuisine!

D.Y. Patil School of Hospitality and Tourism Studies organized a Chef Competition which was conducted on 13th November 2018 in college premises on Vegan Food. It was supported by Sharan-a pioneer organisation committed to promoting vegan lifestyle across the country.A total of 54 students participated in the competition and prepared a three course vegan meal. The aim of this competition was to train budding chefs in vegan cuisine so that they are familiar with the emergent trends in the culinary field.


Six judges from different hospitality institutes were invited to preside over the competition as judges. They were extremely happy to see the enthusiasm among the participants and were taken by surprise to see them make sumptuous delicacies. Chef Priya Padave, Chef Swapnil Salvi and Chef Vijay Sawant organised this competition on behalf of the college. The students were extremely happy after the competition and thanked the college for giving them such a lucrative opportunity.
