Workshop on Wedding cake ( Fondant) @ SHTS!

IMG_20181024_163026D.Y.Patil University School of Hospitality & Tourism Studies organized an experimental and educational workshop on Wedding cake for First year Culinary, Third year Hospitality and Diploma Bakery students on 24thOctober 2018 in the small auditorium. The workshop was organized in collaboration with Baker’s Ville bakery Ingredients Company. Mr. Atiqur Rehman Executive Pastry chef of the organization conducted the workshop for students. Chef Atiqur Rehman demonstrated and explained about how to do fondant icing on the wedding cakes which demands in Hotel industry. Chef Atiqur made dummy wedding cake with rose flowers.Baker’s Ville bakery Ingredients Company is one of the leading bakery ingredients companies of the India and has grown by leaps and bounds in the last decade. It has own manufacturing in India as well they imports from abroad.


Baker’s Ville has more than 10000 varieties of ingredients and products for bakery industry. Sayali Lokhande, one of the participants said ‘it was a very knowledgeable, helpful and understandable session. I got to learn so many about how to do Fondant icing on the Wedding cake. And chef gave us lots of information about bakery industry; I would love to learn more new trends from Chef Atiqure Rehman and his team.Chef Dinesh from the bakery department organized this workshop on behalf of the School of Hospitality and Tourism studies. The session concluded with a vote of thanks and felicitation of guests for carrying out such a fruitful workshop for our students.
