Contract Labour Act 1970 W.R.T PF, ESI, Maternity Benefits& Industrial Dispute

On 12th August, 2016, Asian Exporters’ Chamber of Commerce Industry organize a Workshop on “Contract Labour Act 1970 W.R.T PF, ESI, Maternity Benefits& Industrial Dispute” at D.Y. Patil School of Management. The workshop presented by AECCI. The speaker for the workshop was Dr. SidharthaPriya Ashok, Legal advisor of AECCI.
Dr. Sidhartha discuss about the Contract Labour act 1970 w.r.t PF, ESI, Maternity Benefits and industrial dispute. He explained the objective of the Contract Labour Regulation and Abolition Act, 1970 is to prevent exploitation of contract labour and also to introduce better conditions of work. A workman is deemed to be employed as Contract Labour when he is hired in connection with the work of an establishment by or through a Contractor.
He also explain about PF, Gratuity and Superannuation and other things, He explained Contract labour act 1970 with its norms.The Lecture was to explain about the current regulations of PF, ESI, Maternity benefits and industrial dispute. The guest enlightened the students about the recent updates of various laws.
He also discussedthe core essence of the Act to regulate the employment of contract labour in certain establishments and to provide for its abolition in certain circumstances and for matters connected therewith.He made us aware about the rules, norms, law and guide student about it and its working.
His session was very interesting and we all are looking forward for such Enlightment sessions.
