Today the 15th July 2019, the orientation of the MBA 2nd year students was held. All the students had completed the two month summer training program at the various corporates.
Many students expressed the opinion that life at DYPUSM was not only interesting, fun and enjoyable, life at the corporate was difficult and sometimes stressful. Dr Gopal welcomed the guests with a Momento. He also welcomed all the students and the faculties. In his welcome speech he requested the students to be very careful in choosing the area of specialization. He discussed the market scenario for the year 2019-20 and the various opportunities available.
He mentioned that the business models are changing and the old structures and old business models would not work. He said to be successful you must have a vision and work hard. Corporates are looking at students who have a strong fundamental knowledge, followed by application knowledge and the participation in various school activities. This participation would also help in the proper development of the soft skills of the students.
He requested the students to continuously keep learning and come back to the alma mater as a visiting faculty or as a guest lecture after spending 3 to 4 years in the corporate. This he said would sharing the knowledge gained by them in the corporate and would strengthen the juniors. Dr. Gopal mentioned that DYPUSM would welcome those who wish to come back to school and share their experiences.
Mr Anil Mishra Head, Shreyas pharma amongst other things mentioned that today there is a need to be glued to the ground. You have to start from the lower level in order to reach the top and there is no short cuts in this. Mr MayureshMokal Manager, Ingenero power systems and our alumni 2007-09 spoke about the choice of organizations to fit into the goals of the individual. He also mentioned about the importance of key words while preparing the resume.
Ms. Manishaparpaiani, Founder Inforseives a start up company spoke about the need for having passion in the job. Dr Sapna Suri Coordinator MBA welcomed the students and Mr Surte gave the vote of thanks.
