DYPUSM celebrated ‘Event Mania 2018’ comprising a wide range of events, based on a theme of “GENDER EQUALITY / WOMEN EMPOWERMENT”, and organized by Women Empowerment Committee. The event was conducted over a three day period. During thethree days period, several events were conducted to support and help the girl students.
The Inauguration of the event was held on January 29, 2018. During the welcome speech, Dr. R. Gopal, Director, DYPUSM, shared his thoughts and ideas behind this event. ‘Women are highly important to us and we will organize many more events for our girl student community”. He also said that maximum girl students suffer from anemia and usually students especially girls ignore their health.
A health check-up camp was organized in association with Ayushakti, to help students understand their health. The camp was conducted free of cost for the students. A seminar was conducted on ‘AnemiaCare’ by Dr. Snigdhaa Ojha, from Ayushakti, for Girls students and faculties. The Home Remedies suggested by Dr. Snigdhaa Ojha were highly appreciated by students’ community.
On second day, Students and faculties were guided by Dr. Sangita Deokar, for simple and easy Yog Asanas useful to maintain health and fitness.
Continuing with the event, on the third day Management Games were organized for all students to develop, identify and appreciate management skills amongst them.
The shopping fest for all the three days during this series of events was the added attraction. Makewell Bags, Wowfills, Samarth jewelry, with many other stalls attracted footfall and appreciation by all the students from surrounding colleges.
This event created a high impact in raising image amongst current and prospective students, surrounding residents, industry counterparts and motivating participation from maximum students re-emphasizing gender equality.
Closing Ceremony and prize Distribution was conducted on Thursday, February 21, 2018. Winners were awarded with certificates and cash prizes by Dr. R. Gopal and Dr. Sunil Surte.
