Job Fair organized by DYPUSM in collaboration with NMMC
A job fair was organized by the Entrepreneurship Cell, D. Y. Patil Deemed to be University, School of Management in collaboration with Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) on 15th January 2019. It was majorly organized by NMMC for students who were looking either for a job or for an internship. Several students from Entrepreneurship Cell, D. Y. Patil Deemed to be University, School of Management helped NMMC to organize the job fair under the guidance of Dr. HemlataJadhav,Director, Indian Institute for Skill Development & Employment Training (IISDET), which is an organization focused on growing employment & entrepreneurship skills among the youth of our country.It all started with Aayush Jadhav and Ganesh Kadam, who are the Founders of Entrepreneurship Cell, D. Y. Patil Deemed to be University, School of Management, when they met Dr. Hemlata Jadhav on 12th January 2019 and, they collectively came up with the idea of organizing a job fair for students looking for jobs and internships.
The students of Entrepreneurship Cell were delegated different types of tasks such as handling registrations, taking up interviews,counselling, and confirming placements etc. Through this job fair, many students got to polish their communication and professional skill set. They also got an opportunity to learn about how to conduct and appear for interviews and to learn about conducting counselling sessions. This event was handled majorly by Aayush Jadhav and Ganesh Kadam with a never-ending support of Entrepreneurship Cell. Around 200 companies, 4,000 applicants, and 1,400 intakes were registered on that day.
The event ended with each and every member getting a certificate from NMMCand all of them had an opportunity to interact with Dr. N. Ramaswami, Commissioner, NMMC.
