Paramount – Rebirth Of Art & Culture

As the School of Management campus of DY PATIL was all decked to host its prestigious annual Cultural fest ‘PARAMOUNT’, the surroundings hinted the theme, The REBIRTH OF ART & CULTURE. Ideas poured in from several corners, it is a much-awaited event in the campus. As PARAMOUNT is a big day for the whole of Cultural and Literary  they gave their heart out  gave  and soul for organizing the event. Behind the Culture team as pillars were Dr. R. Gopal, Director and HOD, Dr. Sunil Surte Administrative head. Dr. Rashmi Nair and Dr. Roshni Sawant lead the team actively during the preparation as the team worked hard three months under the student Culture Secretary leadership of Mr. Murli, Mr. Ajinkya ,Ms. Mansi and Mr. Siddhesh with strong team members from BBA and MBA.


The Mesmerizing 3 –  Days of Paramount.

The first day of Paramount saw glamour with art ,the chief guest for the first day was Mr.  MOHAMMED SALIM KHAN (MSK A MOTTO VLOGGER) who came with his team. He made a dashing entry with his team of bikers which made everyone’s heart go crazy. Along with it, there was a blend of classical and modern art blend for the inaugural. The coronation ceremony took place. With Dr. GOPAL Director & HOD along with DR. SUNIL SURTE, Administration head, the student cultural heads along with MSK light the lamp, keeping in mind the tradition of India. The opening performances were set up by the cultural committee which represented the pivotal theme of Paramount 2k18 – The REBIRTH OF ART & CULTURE, the performance was magnum opus and also a masterwork of students .


The day post-inaugural was declared for Literary events such as MOCK STOCK, ELOCUTION, DEBATE, BEST MANAGER, MIN TO WIN IT, OPEN MIC, BLOG WRITING There were more than 75 entries for the first day, from different colleges from all over Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. Its ambiance was overwhelming and cheerful. The second day was declared for art. C competitions like – RANGOLI, LOGO DESIGNING, TREASURE HUNT, PUBG BATTLE ROYALE, CANVAS PAINTING, MUSICALLY, T-SHIRT PAINTING LASER CS were conducted. There were about 45 entries from different colleges. The college lobby and the campus was beautifully accessorized and enhanced by artwork and pieces done by the participants. Everything in the college seemed aesthetic, creative, musical and pleasing. It was altogether a graceful day. The last day was the D-DAY as the college had the Mayor of Navi –Mumbai Mr. Jaywant Sutar and the Corporator of Belapur Dr. Jayjinath along with Ms. Shweta Mehta (Actress & Winner of MTV Roadies) who is also known as a fitness icon and inspiration among students as chief guest.There was a throng of students from different colleges who came to cheer their fellow friends who were participating in the Cultural events. A personal invitation was sent to the parents of the students of DY PATIL College, who joined the event to motivate and solace the participants. The final day started with the singing competition followed by which was judged by  Mr. Sagar Rana a professional celebrity dancer, he also mesmerized everyone with his moves and set a benchmark for the participants. Shweta Mehta (Actress & Winner of MTV Roadies) and also who is a fitness icon and inspiration to a lot of students made a bold entry which made the crowd more enthusiastic. She also shared some life experiences and gave a motivational speech to her followers. She was the judge for the grand event of the day i.e. Fashion show from which MR. & MISS PARAMOUNT was also chosen.


Mayor of Navi-Mumbai Mr. Jaywant Sutar and the Corporator of Belapur DR. Jayjinath came to distribute the prizes to the participants and also gave motivational speeches to the students on how to handle their life and how to be a responsible citizen. Mr. Tushar, General Secretary –Student council thanked them for making it giving valuable time. The event was diligently organized. There was soul to it that was vibrant, contagious and exuberant. The event ended splendidly.
