Career Counselling Sessions In The Schools And Colleges Of Sanghameshwar, Ratnagiri.
Community Service student Head Mr. Fahad Kapdi&Secretary of Rotaract Club of DYPUSM Mr. RishabhKakade. Presented the idea to our coordinators Dr. Sonia Justin & Dr.Prajakta Mondkar. The plan was to conduct Career Counselling sessions in the downtrodden communities and the local schools in and around Sanghameshwar. A complete plan was created to understand the educational needs of the students in the areas of Sanghameshwar and a chart was made to understand their needs of further studies and options of further educational careers.
The team then started working on the project by coordinating with respective colleges, schools& their principals for permissions and discussed about the project idea. There was tremendous support & appreciation from colleges, schools, principals and teachers. The permission regarding the project was then granted.
Then the members of Rotaract Club met & visited Paisa fund high school & college (English & Marathi medium) &New English high school&college (English & Marathi medium) on 17th December 2018, the team stared the counselling sessions in New English High School &Jr. Collage specifically in Marathi medium that is 10th all division 11th commerce science and arts and then 12th science, commerce and arts. This was an institute with so many classes and lectures going on together all at once that we were astonished to see that they were short of classes and had built a classroom on hilltops too.
There was tremendous support Form all the school and collages as well as all teachers& principals appreciated our project and the counselling sessions. They also showed interest for such sessions to be held in their institutes for the upcoming years too. By the end of Project Disha the team at Rotaract Club were glad to have become a part of the project through which we not only could help the existing community but at the same time could use our knowledge and efforts in order to shape and change certain amount of youth of the nation.
