Tree Plantation Drive by DYPUSM

Today on the pre-indepence day 14.8.2019, a Tree Plantation drive was carried out by the students of DYPUSM. More than 45 Asoka trees were planted. The tree plantation was organized with the help of Dr. Nath, Corporator, Navi Mumbai Muncipal Corporation.

Additionally, more than 100 students participated in this tree plantation exercise. On this occasion Prof. Dr. R. Gopal, Director and Head of the Department, DYPUSM said that tree plantation is one of the best methods to decrease world pollution.

It is however necessary to maintain these plants by proper watering etc. Dr. Nath said that NMMC is at the forefront of reducing the pollution and they would provide free tree sampling to whomsoever desires. Dr. Vani requested students to plant trees in their societies also. Ayush a BBA 2nd year student said that such exercises help in inculcating a sense of appreciation of the importance of nature.
