Placement Committee (DY Patil School of Management, CBD Belapur, Navi Mumbai) organized a 1-day WORKSHOP ON ‘Understanding Communication Skills & Employers Expectation, Organizational Behavior” on 1st Oct 2020. This workshop was conducted by Ms. Kirti Golatkar(Mentor and Life Coach at Life K Design) with the background of Marketing Management, Mumbai, Healthcare Management (Delhi) Six Sigma, Diet Nutrition, Yoga, Goal Trainer IIPE affiliated certification serving the healthcare industry for over two decades. Also, a volunteer at the Art of Living.
We also had Mr. Harshvardhan Gorakh who has been practicing Yoga for more than 12 years. He has completed 200 hours of Teacher Training Program with Sri School of Yoga with Over 100+ sessions and still counting. Prior to this, he carried a decade of experience in the oil & gas industry as a chemical engineer, in the USA and India as well. He realized that progress in engineering and technology alone has limitations to bring harmony to society. So, he embarked on this journey to share his experience and help individuals, society, and corporates to reach the source of knowledge within.
This workshop covered that Workplace communication is very important to companies because it allows companies to be productive and operate effectively. Employees can experience an increase in morale, productivity, and commitment if they are able to communicate up and down the communication chain in an organization. There was a total of 90+ students from the final year of BBA and MBA who actively participated. The primary goal of this session was to provide knowledge and modus operandi for MBA graduates on how to counterbalance communication, employer’s expectation, and organizational behavior when we talk about touch basing the fine line of productivity in an organization. The participants received in-depth insight, as well as, actionable and practical tools, methods, and ideas on how to work incorporate.
Following attached are a few of the inferences drawn (from the questionnaire of analysis and activity) which we know would help to address and improve on the presenting challenges expressed by the students during the course of the session designed to bring out the best from them (in topics selected). This would create a platform for all of us as a collaborative effort to contribute to the continuous improvement for these students as also for their journey that they extend into their chosen paths as alumni as well.
