Our department is well equipped with state of art infrastructure, which includes 1.5 Tesla MRI with all coils, 128 slice CT scan, multiple sonography, doppler, Xray, bone densitometry, mammography and fluoroscopy machines. All scans are digitally stored in our PACS, ensuring that a vast array of clinical material is available to our residents on the click of a button.
We have very experienced and dedicated faculty , who assist the learning process. Besides a hand- held practical training program, residents are taught basic principles of radiation physics, ultrasound, safety guidelines in Radiology Clinics, maintenance of expensive equipment, and maintenance of records, especially pertaining to the PC-PNDT act. While we take special efforts in making our students proficient in the performance and interpretation of routine radiological procedures, we keep them abreast of recent advances in the field. The student is also exposed to the ever expanding field of interventional radiology.
The course gives excellent clinical and research experience to the student. It facilitates the development of excellent radiological and interpretational skills, along with a sound judgement in the practice of Radiology and its various sub-specialities.
