MS (Ophthalmology) – 3 years

Candidates seeking admission for 2020-21 kindly make sure below requirements are met.

1. Hostel Accommodation is 2,10,000/- per year . Caution Deposit of Rs 50,000/-
2. One year bond is compulsory at the end of the course.
3. Bank guarantee is must.
4. In case the student decides to quit/leave the seat after taking the admission the student has to pay the entire course fees.

Overview Of The Program

This is a three year postgraduate program recognised by the Medical Council of India. The program involves rotational postings in the departments of Ophthalmology, General Medicine, Paediatrics and Anaesthesia.

The student is actively involved in patient care under expert supervision in the General Ophthalmology Out Patient Department, wards, Operation theatre, Casualty Department and Intensive Care Units. The student benefits from the excellent and state of art infrastructure in the department. Besides routine Ophthalmology work, the student is exposed to speciality work in the Glaucoma, Cataract, Squint and Retina Clinics run by the department.

Practical skills are fine tuned by optimal use of our state of art Simulation Laboratory. The Science of Ophthalmology is patiently taught by our esteemed faculty  using the medium of lectures, case discussions, seminars and journal club activity. Our department is involved in conducting various camps as a part of the social outreach of our hospital. The student gets trained in organisational skills and Preventive Ophthalmology by participating in these camps. The course gives ample opportunity to the student to develop excellent clinical and surgical skills in a non-threatening and friendly environment. It lays the foundation to a successful career in the practice of Ophthalmology and its various specialities.
