6th Free Occupational Assistive Technology Therapy Camp
PARTICIPATION BY STUDENTS – 50 students from 2nd, 3rd and 4th year BOT participated in checking the fit, distribution and training of assistive devices to the patients.

OBJECTIVES- To provide the assistive devices to the patients whose measurements were taken on 27th January 2020 Camp.

ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED: The camp was sponsored by Ratna Nidhi Charitable Trust. This was a distribution camp of the assistive devices for which measurements were taken on 27th Jan 2020. 27 bilateral calipers were checked on the patients for fit, they have explained the parts, donning and doffing techniques, and care of the orthosis i.e of Ankle Foot Orthosis (AFOs), Knee Ankle Foot Orthosis (KAFO), Hip Ankle Foot Orthosis (HFAKOS), Knee Varus Valgus Splints. 4 sets of Axillary Crutches were distributed, the adjustment of height and use was explained to the patients
BENEFITS: Patients benefitted from getting free assistive devices. Students of BOT got a hands on opportunity to learn hands-on about parts, fit, donning and doffing, care and training of assistive devices
