‘World Heart Day’ on 4th of October, 2018
A seminar was organised by the department of Cardiopulmonary Physiotherapy, school of Physiotherapy on the occasion of World heart Day on the 4th of October 2018 at the 4th floor auditorium in DY Patil deemed to be University, Nerul.
Dr Ashish Nabar consultant Electrophysiologist, KEM Hospital and Dr Shreevidya Karthik,Assistant Professor, School of Physiotherapy , Nerul, were the esteemed speakers for the event.
The event was attended by over 175 Physiotherapists including students and faculty from various colleges across Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. Dr Nabar gave an insight on the use of CIED (Cardiovascular Implantable Electronic Device) in Heart Failure. The advances in management and indications for use of CIED were discussed. Dr Shreevidya added on to the Cardiac Rehabilitation after these surgeries and their recent advances. The guests then interacted with the audience and answered their queries.
The event was a huge success with the students as well as the faculty. It added to the knowledge base and the recent trends in Physiotherapy in Heart failure truly marking the purpose of World Heart Day Celebration.
