ACLS

Brief

The ACLS course is designed for healthcare providers who participate in the resuscitation of the patient, whether in or out of the hospital. With the help of this course participants will enhance their skills in the treatment of the adult victim of the cardiac arrest or other cardiopulmonary emergencies.

This course helps the healthcare provider to integrate BLS with Advanced cardiovascular life support interventions and the importance of effective team work and communication during resuscitation.

This course includes training on crisis resource management as well.

Eligible Participants

BLS Certified participant
Any health care providers such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, respiratory therapists.

Programme Outline

Basic Life Support skills
Various stations for Airway management, IV access, related Pharmacology
Clinical scenarios using Advanced High Fidelity Simulators like Acute Coronary Syndrome,
Stroke, Cardiac Arrest
Crisis Resource Management (CRM)
Basic life support skills, including effective chest compression, use of a bag-mask device and use of an
Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest
Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions such as symptomatic bradycardia
Management of Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) and stroke
Effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation team
