The Centre for Skill Education and Professional Development (CSEPD) conducts faculty development programmes to help faculty of constituent units of DY Patil University Navi Mumbai make their teaching more effective and relevant, using the concepts of adult learning, student centeredness and interactivity. The training programmes help faculty of DY Patil University Navi Mumbai to enhance their teaching skills.
Participants learn the concept of how people learn, basics of teaching – learning process, concepts of curriculum, effective teaching for different group sizes, appropriate use of audio-visual aids, and effective planning and conduction of student exams. The programme gives a proper guide for practical conduction. The Centre for Skill Education and Professional Development (CSEPD) intends to provide assistance to facilitate up-gradation of knowledge, skill and intends to provide opportunities for induction training to teachers employed in various disciplines.

It provide an opportunity to acquire knowledge about current technological developments in relevant fields. It will not only promote the professional practices relevant to technical education but also motivates the faculty to achieve competitive teaching and learning environment, thus channelizing development with respect to academic qualifications and personal matters.
