11th National Quiz Competition- LIBER POPULUS

On 15th January 2021, DY Patil Deemed to be University, School of Law had organized its 11th National Quiz competition named “Liber Populus”.The theme for the quiz was based on The Indian Democracy. The competition was open for all students who had passed their class XII.

The quiz was organized by Ms. Lavanya Panicker, General Secretary, along with Ms. Vaishali Sharma, under the guidance of Mrs. Piyush Maheshwari and Adv. Abhilasha Mane. The canvassing of the competition along with the drafting of rules and regulations were done by Lavanya whereas the mechanics, as well as the research for the quiz, were handled by Vaishali. The faculty coordinators had helped in conscripting the questions and in the administration of the over-all event.

A google form was created and circulated along with the quiz pamphlet. An overwhelming response was received from participants joining from all over the nation. After the form, they would be given a link to join the official WhatsApp group for the quiz. A detailed set of rules and regulations along with a guide to attempt the quiz was also provided to the registered participants.

Questions for the quiz ranged from general knowledge to Indian politics, history, and current affairs. Though the slight twist in the format of the quiz was that the questions were pictorial. The participants had to infer the answer from the picture shown in the question.
On 15th January 2021, at 1:00 PM the quiz had commenced and every student was given 30 questions which were to be answered in 10 minutes. The top 3 scorers were to be selected on the basis of the highest scores and the time was taken to submit the quiz.

The result for the 11thNational Quiz Competition-LIBER POPULUSwere then announced on the very same day in the evening.

1. MS. B.YASASWENI HAD WON THE FIRST PRIZE,
2. MS. BIDE SHAILESH RAJENDRA HAD WON THE SECOND PRIZE AND
3. MR. ARYAMANN ATHAVALE HAD WON THE THIRD PRIZE.

All the participants were congratulated for the interest shown by them in excelling their knowledge and the prize winners were appreciated for their excellence and provided with e-certificates for their achievement.
